Snowed In
We are in the midst of the 2nd snowstorm in less than a week, which means lots of unexpected “home” time for me since schools are closed. I have been trying to catch up on a few household chores (not fun), and also work on a few projects (much more fun!). Here’s a peek at what I have been doing…..
Going through jewelry bits and baubles
to start on some necklaces. One will feature the most awesome vintage broach
while another will incorporate one of the mini frozen charlottes I received as part of the Petite Inspiration Box Swap
As I am trapped in the house, I have been getting my shopping fix courtesy of eBay, where I have been buying up all sorts of lovely treasures, including these wonderful tin types that may end up in jewelry as well
Finally, I am continuing work on pages for the Young Victoria Collaborative Book Project
I can only show you just a peek of these pages right now, as I don’t want to spoil the surprise before they are mailed out.
Out my studio window is a world of swirling white, blizzard conditions the radio says. Inside I am counting my blessings, grateful that my family is safely at home, that we still have power, that the High’s Dairy Store walking distance from my house got a shipment of milk yesterday, and that my teenage daughter makes totally awesome chocolate chip cookies!
Stay Warm Everyone!!

That is an *awesome* vintage brooch. I can’t wait to see what you put together! Plus I love the tease of the pages you’re working on! Got to get mine finished for Pam this weekend!
Oh Sue–
I want a snow day with you and all your lovely jewelry bits! It looks like creating bliss to me! I wish we would get one more snow storm. I really do like them as long as I don’t have to be anywhere!
Hi Sue~
The jewelry looks awesome as well as your book pages. Craft room not so good. The piles are dwindling though. Awwww milk & cookies…perfect blizzard food. We are sunny & beautiful here…but supposed to get oh so cold tonight!
Blessings~Hope
Hi, Sue: Blizzard warnings are nothing!!! You seem to be making good on your found days. I love that broach. Can’t wait to see what you will make with it. In the morning, Tami and Tracy are coming to my house and we are going on a treasure hunt!! Stay warm with those yummy cookies. K
Love the miniature frozen charlotte! Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Oh I wish we had ’snow days’ so I could ‘play’ like that!!!! Your YV swap is coming along sooooo beautifully. And as for all of that bling…wow! Should I continue to pray for snow or not?
Wish my snowed-in adventures looked as good as yours!
