Young Victoria Book Update
The first set of pages have gone out to participants, so I thought I would share some photos of what I have made, received, and sent out so far!

Don’t you just love that quote? We are all learning that the Young Queen Victoria was one feisty gal!
Here’s what I sent to Sandy for her book…
Sandy’s theme for her book is “love letters and mementos”. For the front of her page I used words from the song “Only You” by Sinead O’Connor which was featured in the movie, and transformed it into a letter from Victoria to Albert. I printed it onto fabric and then embellished it with some lace, a bit of embroidery and some wonderful french velvet ribbon I picked up at Silver Bella last November.
Here’s the back of the page for Sandy….
For this page I chose to make a watercolor that Victoria did of Albert the centerpiece, and then added a quote from her about him. She was really smitten with that guy!
Finally, here’s a peek of a page I just finished, that will be going out into the mail shortly….
Needless to say, I am REALLY enjoying participating in this project. Not only does it give me a chance to spread my wings a bit and try some new techniques, but I get to use and share some of the treasure I have been collecting.

As always, you have done a lovely job. I almost joined the swap but felt it was too much of a stretch for me.I am getting my first sewing machine on Wednesday and I am so excited!
I am anxious to blog hop and see what everyone has done. I thought she sounded sooo interesting. Who would have guessed.
Both Donna and I just drooooooled over your petite inspiration box. You have such a unique way of seeing “outside of the box” and creating something that is uniquely you!

swoon!!! seriously you pulled out all the stops on my beautiful page! i have it propped up on an easel on my kitchen island right now because i just love to look at it. the colors, the little pieces of text. truly i love, love, love it. love.
