So excited to be heading to California soon for the Spellbound art event put on by the ever elegant and inspiring Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso of A Gilded Life. I am busy putting together my totes for the vintage trim swap, and have so enjoyed rediscovering hidden treasures in my stash – looking [...] I while back I signed up to participate in Karla’s Faerie Book Swap. Each participant was to make 8 pages for a book with a faerie theme. All the pages get sent to Karla, and she then mixes and matches various pages from everybody to make each of us a book, featuring her original artwork [...] One of my favorite haunts at the MaryJane’s Farm Sisterhood chatroom is the Farmgirl Barter section. Let me tell you folks – this is just the most awesome thing. Earlier this month I got my feet wet by offering up some back issues of Sew Beautiful magazine that I no longer need but was sure [...] Sometimes things just come together exactly the way you envision them. The stars align, the lace box has just the right pieces, and that idea that came to you at 3:00 am is exactly right. I am loving this final swap item for Silver Bella. It speaks to my heart in so many ways. [...] In just one week I will be whooping it up in Omaha with 150+ wonderful and creative souls at the most amazing art retreat – Silver Bella. This will be my 2nd year attending, and I just can’t wait to reconnect with friends from last year, as well as finally meet in person all the [...] Earlier this summer I participated in Speckled Egg‘s Petite Paris Inspiration Box Swap. What with travels overseas, busy summer activities, the start of a new school year and such, I am just now getting around to sharing the wonderful boxes I received. I embroidered a few motifs during my trip to use in an upcoming project, have been doing a bit of hand sewing to create items for an upcoming Silver Bella swap, and have been totally inspired by this new [...] Warning – spoiler alert!!!
